This flexible, charismatic, eclectic singer was born in Sunderland. Richard’s musical background began with playing the Cello as well as playing Guitar in a rock band. By accident he discovered a Placido Domingo Album in the Rock section of a Record Store, which led him to a Career in Classical and Crossover singing.

He has performed hundreds of times at Theatres, Functions, Music Festivals, River Cruises, Weddings, Corporate Events, and the like. Anything from Concert Halls to The Hilton Park Lane, Private Parties and Weddings to Glastonbury Festival, Prom in the Park Events, Opera Holland Park and Rugby Stadiums, to audiences from 20 to 20,000.

His repertoire includes Opera, Musical Theatre, Rat Pack / Swing, International Folk and Popular songs from the 1920s to the 2010s.

Richard also sings in Operas and Concerts in the UK, USA and Europe including Opera Holland Park. He specialises in the Comedic or Lyrical roles, including Papageno (The Magic Flute), Marcello (La Boheme), Leporello (Don Giovanni), Germont (La Traviata), Spalanzani/Frank (Tales of Hoffmann) & Vasek (The Bartered Bride). In Oratorio he has also performed the Solos in Mozart’s Requiem and Solemn Vesper’s, Haydn’s Creation as well as Faure’s and Vivaldi’s Requiem.

He is also an established Recording Artist, having sold over 25000 albums independently. His music has been taken to Australia, Nepal, USA, Canada and all over Europe.

He trained at Trinity College of Music and Morley Opera in London, and currently studies with Graeme Danby. He is a native English speaker, fluent in German, has good conversational French and Italian and has also sung in Spanish, Latin, Russian, Czech and Greenlandic.
